Betrino Privacy Policy
At Betrino we believe in plain language and transparency. This policy is your guide to how we collect your personal data, what we do with it, and what rights you hold under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Data We Collect
When you create a Betrino account, we collect the details necessary to identify you and run your account: your name, date of birth, email, phone number and home address. We also collect payment information — though card details are handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant payment partners and never stored on Betrino's servers. As you use the platform, we retain records of your bets, deposits, withdrawals and any communications with our support team. Our systems also automatically log technical data including your IP address, device type and session activity, which we use to maintain security and improve performance.
How We Use Your Data
We process your data primarily to fulfil our contract with you — to run your account, process bets and handle payments. We also have legal obligations as a UK Gambling Commission licensee: verifying your identity, monitoring for responsible gambling risks and complying with anti-money-laundering rules. Where you've opted in to marketing, we'll send relevant offers and promotions; you can opt out any time from your account settings or by emailing us.
Cookies
Betrino uses cookies to keep your session active, save preferences and gather anonymised analytics. A cookie consent tool on your first visit lets you control non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off.
Third-Party Sharing
We share your data only where necessary: with payment processors, identity verification services, fraud prevention agencies and our technology partners — all bound by strict data protection agreements. We share information with regulators or law enforcement only when legally required. We do not sell your data.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate records
- Ask for your data to be deleted (where legally permissible)
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Request a portable copy of your data
Email us at [email protected] to exercise any of these rights. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're unsatisfied, you can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Data Retention
We keep account records for a minimum of five years after closure to meet our regulatory obligations. Financial records may be held longer where required by law, after which all data is securely deleted.
